Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort Party

When Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort closes for the season, the event is celebrated with music, food, drink and fun. I have to admit that we didn’t go to ski, but as tourists we were curious to see the party :) So we went to see it in March… a little late, but it’s never too late when it comes to a funny party…

What a surprise to see the famous Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign here, at the bottom of the slopes!

End of Las Vegas ski for this winter

I’m sure that not too many people would associate the gambling city with skiing and winter sports. Yet, Mount Charleston is a great place for outdoor and sport activities all year round. Incredible but true, this is only at about 45 min, from downtown Las Vegas. BTW, the summer season starts on the Memorial Weekend.

End of the ski season in Las Vegas

March can get quite hot in Las Vegas, but there was still some snow left. This winter activity should have continued for a little while – I think…

As a general information: There are three main slopes for different degrees of skills. You don’t even need to have your own equipment. You can rent everything right there.

The Closing Party

As fun as the snow was, the last day was even more attractive. So, let’s forget about the snowboards for the now :)

End of the ski season in Las Vegas

The Mexican party on the terrace bar attracted many people including us :) It was sponsored by “Dos Equis” Mexican beer. Obviously, the band played some Mexican songs too.
