Las Vegas New Year’s Eve is one of the top attractions of the world and the Sin City is one of the premier 3 destinations for celebrating the end of the old year and beginning of the new.
For the New Year’s Eve more than 300,000 people pack the Strip along Las Vegas Boulevard between Sahara Avenue and Russell Road, including the area between the Stratosphere at the North to the Mandalay Bay at the South.
This entire length is closed to vehicle traffic from 6:00 PM., and the Strip become one huge pedestrian mall which along with the Fremont Street Experience bring thousands of celebrators together.
The good news is that the Public transportation monorail and the buses will be free until the next day at 9.00 am
Note that at 11:00 PM all the hotels along the strip stop letting people enter and they reopen their doors again at 12:30 AM. People who didn’t plan ahead for this closure last year might have wished they would of… good to know about this!
The weather this year is colder than normal, so you should dress warm to be comfortable and enjoy the party.
In despite of the cold, last year I’ve seen all sorts of costumes, funny hats and of course lots of noisemakers, so I expect to be the same this year :)
Needles to say that tones of adult beverages are consumed in all kind of funny recipients :)
All the fun and good cheer is absolutely free. Great opportunity to take some interesting shots too ;)
The Downtown Countdown New Year’s Eve 2016 party takes place between 5;30 PM. and 3:30 AM. at the Fremont Street Experience in downtown Las Vegas.
The Las vegas New Year’s Eve World Class Fireworks Displays will fired from seven hotel roof tops along the Strip.
One of the USA’s leading pyrotechnics companies and Guiness World Record holder “Fireworks by Grucci” will be orchestrating the performance to a choreography of fireworks and exciting music.
The launching points will be: MGM Grand, Planet Hollywood, Aria, Caesars Palace, Treasure Island, The Venetian and Stratosphere. The computer controlled program begins at midnight and lasts about 7 minutes, with over 80,000 pyrotechnics being fired.

These bands included Aerosmith, Blondie, AC/DC Pat Benatar, Boston, Doobie Brothers, Van Halen, Billy Idol, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, No Doubt, Queen, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Duran Duran.
